Los Angeles, CA UNITED STATES

My professional career began in 1977 when I received my Medical Degree and then in 1982 completed my Orthopaedic Surgical residency training at The University of Southern California. My Sports Medicine Fellowship training was completed in 1983 at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic where I have practiced sports medicine and Orthopaedic surgery since 1985. My practice has focused on sports, knee, shoulder and elbow problems requiring arthroscopic and reconstructive surgical treatment and cartilage repair. Since 1985 I have served as the Team Physician for Loyola Marymount University and for twenty-two years have served as the Orthopaedic Team Doctor for the Los Angeles Dodgers Baseball Team. I have continued to consult and provide care for professional players in both the U.S., Korea and Japan. I am an active member and participant in several societies including AAOS, AOSSM, AANA and ICRS. I have continued to pursue education and research in sports that has included continued involvement with our Sports Fellowship Program, both clinical and basic science research, as well as the training and development of sports medicine in China. I hold an academic appointment as Professor of Orthopedics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. I became the President and Chairman of KJOC in 2002. This administrative position has been extremely demanding and rewarding throughout the years. In 2018, I was named Medical Director of The Integrated Sports Medicine Program at Gongli Hospital in Shanghai, China.
